Preface

At HILEY USA, our promise goes beyond high-performance scooters. We stand behind every product with dependable after-sales support to keep your riding experience smooth and reliable.

Coverage Overview

This warranty applies to manufacturing defects in the structural and mechanical components of HILEY USA scooters, under normal operating conditions, for 12 months from the date of delivery.
The only exception is the scooter frame, which carries a 24-month warranty.

Replacement parts needed due to approved warranty defects are provided free of charge, while shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Please contact our support team to initiate a warranty claim.

  • Warranty is automatically registered to the original purchaser or recipient.
  • Warranty is non-transferable.
  • Coverage begins on the delivery date.

Component-Specific Warranty Periods

Battery 12 months Failure to charge, failure to power on, unexpected shutdowns, abnormal capacity loss, or swelling/leakage due to factory defects.

Controllers 12 months Failure to power on, loss of throttle response, unexpected shutdowns, or internal faults caused by manufacturing defects.
Throttle 12 months Unresponsive or intermittent behavior due to internal electronic failure.
Dashboard 12 months Power issues, display failures, unreadable screen, or button malfunction caused by factory defects.
Charger 12 months Failure to charge due to manufacturing defects.
Lighting System 12 months LED or circuitry failure caused by factory defects.
Braking System 12 months Failure of brake levers, calipers, or hydraulic components due to factory defects under normal use.

Replacement parts for approved warranty claims are provided at no cost. Shipping fees for sending and receiving parts are paid by the customer.

Exclusions from Warranty Coverage

The warranty does not cover damages caused by improper use, including but not limited to:

Water Damage

Water damage of any kind is excluded from coverage. This includes corrosion, short circuits, electrical failures, or deterioration caused by liquid exposure.

Waterproof Terms

  • Factory rating: IPX7.
  • Warranty coverage applies under IPX6 riding conditions once the scooter is used on the road.
  • In cases of full-body immersion, customers must arrange immediate maintenance at their own cost at a professional repair center.
  • Maintenance records and a short video of the service are required for verification. If later verification shows that post-immersion maintenance was not performed in a timely manner and issues arise as a result, HILEY reserves the right to decline warranty service.

Other Exclusions

  • Overloading or exceeding maximum load capacity.
  • Crash or impact damage.
  • Unauthorized electrical modifications or battery tampering.
  • Use of incompatible chargers or power sources.
  • Improper maintenance or neglect.
  • Ignoring safety or usage guidelines in the user manual.
  • Extreme environmental exposure beyond specified operating conditions.
  • Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic changes.
  • Commercial or competitive use.
  • Unauthorized repairs.
  • Unintended applications or misuse.

Claim Process

To initiate a claim, please provide proof of purchase and clear evidence of the issue. Our team will guide you through diagnostic steps and arrange replacement parts if the defect is covered under this warranty.

Shipping damage must be reported within 7 days of receipt.

Even after the one-year warranty period, we continue supporting our riders with:

Warranty Policy on Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for all shipping costs associated with warranty service, including shipments to and from our repair center or for receiving replacement parts.

We recommend retaining the original packaging to help prevent transportation damage during any return or service shipment.

Legal Disclaimer and Warranty Limitations

This warranty is the only warranty provided by HILEY USA and supersedes all other express or implied warranties. Liability is limited to the repair or replacement of defective components and does not include incidental or consequential damages such as property damage, loss of use, or economic loss.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages. These limitations may not apply to you. You may also have other rights that vary from state to state or jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

This warranty is governed by the laws of the state of purchase. Any legal action related to this warranty shall be brought in the courts of that state.

HILEY USA reserves the right to modify this warranty at any time without prior notice. The latest warranty terms are always available on our website.

This warranty applies only within the United States and may vary for products used or purchased outside this territory.
